Terms of Use

1. Who can use Introspace

You must be at least 18 years old. You may hold one account, and the details you give us — your name, contact details, and listing information — must be accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

2. What Introspace does, and what it does not do

Introspace shows you rooms and room-seekers connected to you through people you both know, and helps a mutual connection introduce you.

We are not a letting agent or a broker. We are not a party to any viewing, agreement, tenancy, or payment between users, and we charge no fees for any of this. We do not verify users' identities, listings, references, or right to let a room, and an introduction through a mutual connection is a social signal, not a guarantee. Decisions about who to meet, who to live with, and what to sign are yours alone.

3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users on Introspace. You may not post, send, or share content that is:

• harassing, threatening, intimidating, or targeted at a person
• hateful or discriminatory on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity
• sexual content, sexually suggestive content, or nudity
• violent, graphic, or promoting harm to yourself or others
• fraudulent, deceptive, or a scam — including requests for deposits, transfers, or payments before a viewing
• spam, advertising, or bulk solicitation
• someone else's personal information posted without their permission
• impersonating another person
• illegal under German or EU law, or promoting illegal activity

You also may not use Introspace to discriminate against people looking for or offering housing, or to harass, stalk, or repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop.

Accounts that post this content, or behave this way toward other users, will be removed.

4. Reporting and blocking

Every listing and every introduction in the app has a way to report it. If you see something that breaks the rules above, report it.

You can also block another user at any time. Blocking hides that person's listings and matches from you, hides yours from them, and stops further contact through Introspace. Blocking does not undo information already shared — if contact details were exchanged before you blocked someone, you may also want to block them on your phone or on other services.

If you cannot reach the report function, or need to report something urgently, email us using the address in our Impressum.

5. How we act on reports

We review every report and act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. Depending on what we find, we may remove the content, hide a listing, warn the user, restrict their account, or delete it permanently. Serious cases may be reported to the police.

We may remove content or suspend accounts without prior notice where we believe it is necessary to protect users. Where we can, we will tell you what happened and why.

6. Your content

The listings, photos, and messages you post remain yours. By posting them, you give us permission to show them to other users of Introspace in the way the service is designed to work — including to people connected to you and to the mutual connections who can introduce you. You confirm you have the right to post what you post, including any photos of a room.

You can edit or delete your listings, and delete your account, at any time from within the app.

7. Using the service properly

Do not attempt to access other users' data, scrape the service, circumvent its privacy or matching behaviour, or interfere with its operation.

8. Availability and changes

Introspace is provided as it is and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. We do not promise that it will always be available or that you will find a room or a tenant through it.

We may update these Terms. If we make a significant change, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Introspace after that means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and where liability is required by the German Product Liability Act. In cases of simple negligence, we are liable only for breach of an obligation essential to the purpose of this agreement, and only for foreseeable damage typical of this kind of agreement. Any further liability is excluded.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Introspace and delete your account at any time. We may end your access if you break these Terms.

11. Governing law

German law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
